Bondura® bolts were installed on Texaco Captain to prevent constant bearing damage. Play and ovality in the supports were also repaired. When using spherical bearings in bolt connections, the inner bearing ring must be fixed to the bolt so that the bearing slides between the inner and outer bearing rings.
