Play in the joining bolts on the mobile rig Rubicon 2000 resulted in excessive fluctuation in the laser-operated vertical positioning in the drilling phase. Cylindrical pins were replaced with Bondura® bolts, and both the assembly and removal of the drilling derrick have become simpler, while un-wanted play has been eliminated.
